Nostalgic Journeys and New Adventures: Subang Airport Revisited
A Trip Down Memory Lane
Many years ago, before the grand Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) came into existence, my family and I often traveled from Subang Airport. Subang, with its charming, bustling atmosphere, holds a special place in my heart. Our favorite travel spots back then included the lively Subang Parade and the fun-filled Sunway Lagoon. With a large family, our mode of transportation was usually the bus, which added to the adventure.
The Heart of Subang
Subang Airport, also known as Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport, is located about 50 kilometers from Putrajaya. This distance, though not overly far, feels like a journey back in time to an era of simpler pleasures and family bonding. Subang Parade was a popular stop for shopping and dining, offering a wide range of activities for everyone. Sunway Lagoon, with its water rides and attractions, was always a hit with the kids. These were the popular spots in the old days.
Today, Subang and the surrounding areas in Selangor have expanded to include even more attractions. Petaling Jaya Theme Park, Wet World Water Park, and various other modern leisure and entertainment spots continue to draw families and tourists, offering new experiences while still preserving the nostalgic charm of the past.

Traveling from Subang Airport to Kuala Lumpur is convenient with multiple options available:

- Bus: Various bus services connect Subang Airport to different parts of Kuala Lumpur.
