Embark on a captivating journey from Lawas to Ruan Acang, spanning approximately 90 km along logging roads for now. However, by 2026, the completion of the Sarawak Sabah Link Road (SSLR) will offer a smoother route.

Alternatively, travelers can opt for air travel aboard the twin otter operated by MasWing from Lawas Airport to Ba'kelalan. From there, a scenic 2-hour drive along logging roads, covering about 60 km, leads to Ruan Acang.

Situated amidst the Maligan Highlands of Limbang Division, Sarawak, Ba'kelalan rests at an elevation of about 3,000 feet above sea level, merely 4 km from the Indonesian Kalimantan border and 150 km from Lawas. Comprising nine villages, Ba'kelalan is home to the Lun Bawang tribe, adding cultural richness to the journey.
